ASUCR Scholarships

ASUCR scholarships are available to UCR Students. Application are made online through the UCR Financial Aid Office between Oct. 1 and March 2.

Jeremy Harrison Award

Jeremy Harrison studied at UC Riverside from 2000 until his death on Oct. 20, 2005 from complications of leukemia.

He was active in many areas of campus life:

• Bear Facts Counselor for two years
• Member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity
• ASUCR Senator from the Bourns College of Engineering from 2003 to 2005
• Intramural bowling
• Student representative to the College of Engineering Executive Committee, 2003 to 2005
• Chair of the Commencement Committee in 2004-2005
• Math Study Group leader at the Learning Center

Minimum Qualifications:

• Full-time Junior or Senior
• 3.0 GPA
• Active in UCR
• Demonstrated leadership at UCR and in the surrounding community
• Essay

Scholarship amount varies.

The Vince Del Pizzo Scholarship

The Vince Del Pizzo Scholarship is given to seniors, although applicants must be juniors.

It is presented to students who display: 

• Academic achievement
• Campus and community involvement
• Leadership ability
• An ASUCR committee grants the scholarship. Applicants must submit documentation, such as a résumé, a list of activities, an essay, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Full-time senior
• 3.0 GPA
• Any major
• Active at UCR
• Leadership roles at UCR and in the surrounding community
