Officers are selected from the ranks of the 20-member Student Senate to fill leadership positions and to carry out the policies the senate develops.

What I do:
  • I am the principal representative of ASUCR
  • I have sole authority to sign legally-binding contracts on behalf of the associated students, subject to a two-thirds senate approval
  • I chair cabinet meetings and hold ex-officio status on all committees.

  • I coordinate the elections website with the VCSA IT Director
  • I secure polling locations and computers
  • I develop and plan daily activities during elections and prepare the elections timeline and agenda
  • I advertise elections and related events
  • I appoint committee members and assign volunteer activities
  • I update elections bylaws, applications, instructions, etc., as necessary
